Ted's coming to Cali for Sunset magazine's Savor the Central Coast, Sunday, Sept. 30!

Explore Sunset magazine’s beautiful world of cooking, wine, gardening, and travel at the 2012 Savor the Central Coast festival, Sept 27-30 at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch in San Luis Obispo. Ted will be there on Sunday, Sept. 30, doing signings of his new cookbook, In My Kitchen: 100 Recipes and Discoveries for Passionate Chefs at 10:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.; he’ll also emcee the Battle of the Bay at 12:30, pitting Morro Bay chefs Adam Pollard (Taco Temple) and Paul Arangorin (The Inn at Morro Bay) against one another in a friendly competition to be judged by Sunset’s editor in chief, Kitty Morgan. And at 2:30, he’ll help judge the Lamb Jam competition. Makes you full just thinking about it, no?

Meet Ted at Greenwich Ct. Food + Wine on Oct. 6

Join Ted, Chef Graham Elliiott, Food Network “Ace of Cakes” Duff Goldman, and a stellar cast of chefs and food purveyors at the 2012 Greenwich Food + Wine Festival, October 4-6—featuring performances by Gregg Allman and Big Head Todd and the Monsters! Ted will be there on Saturday, October 6, beginning with a signing of his new cookbook, In My Kitchen: 100 Recipes and Discoveries for Passionate Cooks at 2:15 p.m., a demonstration of recipes from the book at 3:30, and judging the great Burger Battle at 4:30.

Potluck Challenge at the Brooklyn Kitchen on June 3

The Brooklyn Kitchen has organized a potluck around Ted’s new cookbook. Attendants will bring a prepared recipe from In My Kitchen for lunch and lighthearted culinary competition (see details below.) Ted and other judges will put the dishes to the test (big prizes!), and afterwards everyone will share in the potluck meal.

Ted Wins Two James Beard Media Awards

The 2012 James Beard Awards for Book, Broadcast & Journalism were announced on Friday, May 4. Ted and Chopped won two awards this year: for Television Program (Studio) and Media Personality/Host.

Summer Tour 2012 for 'In My Kitchen'

Ted’s new cookbook, In My Kitchen, is going to be released on May 1. Soon after, Ted will be hosting a number of events as part of a nationwide book tour.
